The Phillips Form Fitter Pack Saddle

The Phillips Form Fitter is unquestionably a phenomenal pack saddle. Use it, and you'll call it fabulous.

Tree bars are independent allowing the tree to fit the form of any pack animal. Wooden tree bars are 23 inches long, and wrapped with rawhide, so they distribute weight evenly over the back of the pack animal.

Each tree bar has small fleece-lined skirts, which provide a cooler fit and more humane treatment. A good comfortable fit means your animal will serve you better and longer.

Roller bucklers are attached to the center of the tree so the rigging can be moved up or down, as well as backward and forward.

A pivot on the front and back of each bar allows the aluminum bars to work freely and independently of each other.

The saddle comes complete. That means you get a breast collar, quarter straps, and a quick release on the breast collar. The breeching is three inches wide and made if 11- to - 13-ounce harness leather, with one-inch straps for the spider and quarter straps. The padded breeching spider utilizes four straps instead of two. This exceptional saddle package also includes a half breed, stuffed in our own shop with an inch of felt.

The saddle can be rigged with a single or double cinch.

No other saddle that we know of is versatile and so complete.
